After a gap of around 21 years, Hyderabad will host its first International Test Match. India will take on New Zealand, in the second test match of the ongoing series. This will be the first international test match in the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, and the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is hoping to revive its lost glory with this match.
Arshad Ayub, former Indian cricketer and the president of the HCA said, “This will be a historic Test and I am very excited to be associated with it.” Arshad Ayub has been part of the last test match in 1989, which incidentally India played against New Zealand
The players of both the teams arrived to the city yesterday. The police has given them high levels of security as they practiced today at the stadium.
HCA has recently been in a crisis as its cricket coach Venkatapathy Raju resigned after Hyderabad was all out for 21 in a Ranji match. While Raju and others have resigned, the HCA is considering this match as a starting point to take Hyderabad cricket to the next level.

Chatting with Karan Johar on his talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ she indicated that she still holds grudges against Ranbir. Karan later asked what Deepika wanted to say to Katrina who is dating Ranbir at present, the actress oddly replied that maybe Katrina wants to check her passport and destination and to be sure she didn’t travel long with Ranbir.
